Open Table Church
When people hear "Minimalist Website" the first thing to come to mind is one from the 90's.
Before a new website build begins, the first thing needed is to define its purpose. One can get carried away in all of the things they want their website to be one day, especially if your business is young or going through a re-branding. Something I always stress to my clients is; if you have a solid foundation you can add on. Developing a website for growth, with great organization and a simple navigation is an excellent beginning to website development.
Open Table Church has been meeting for several years at the Civic Center in the heart of Walnut Creek. Their congregation is made up of locals who want to know more about Jesus and are looking to connect with their community. The website needed to reflect that by being easy to navigate, have messages and events easily accessible.
Pro Tip: Are you looking to save some money on web development? Having a website structure, copy and photography in place before you approach a developer will significantly decrease your cost and provide a clear vision for your contractor.
If you already have a website in place, this might be rather easy for you!
The second purpose of their website was to be found by people in the community. Even from the home page it is evident that new-comers are more than welcome, and there is a little bit of something for everyone. Quick, index style pages allow the mobile traffic (making up more than 60% of most websites traffic) get to the information that they need.
Working with this team was a breeze! I love helping non-profits grow and connect their dreams with their community. Need a hand? Drop me a line.
